Welcome to the homepage of Craobh Sciobairin branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Eireann - an organisation formed in 1969 to foster and promote Irish music and culture in the Skibbereen area of County Cork. Our membership is drawn from many of the surrounding towns and area's including Leap, Rosscarbery, Drimoleague, Baltimore, Ballydehob, Aughadown and Caheragh, as well as the town itself.
Craobh Sciobairin is dedicated to the promotion of Irish traditional music, song and dance. To achieve our aims, we organise regular classes, sessions, oncerts, seisiún's and committee meetings and we also encourage our members to participate in Fleadhanna Cheoil. Skibereen has been the host venue for Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan on a record four occasions: 1976, 1995, 2001, 2003 and most recently, hosted a hugely successful Fleadh Cheoil Chorcai in 2014 .
