Group Classes starting on Thursday, Nov 10th

Our Branch Group Classes tutored by Hannah Collins will be resuming shortly on Thursday, November 10th in the Gaelscoil

These classes will focus on putting together groups and bands to represent Skibbereen branch in next year’s County Fleadh competitions, (depending on the level of interest). A good standard of playing (at least 1 years playing experience) on your instrument is required so please note the classes are not suitable for beginners.

Students will learn a new tune each week and obtain experience playing as part of an ensemble. Depending on the level of interest it is hoped that Céilí Bands and Grupaí Cheoil will be formed from those attending the classes after Christmas to compete in the County Fleadh next May in Bandon

We hope all our junior members who play instruments will attend and get involved in our branch group classes. All welcome!!

Class Times will be as follows:

5.30pm-6.30pm (12/15 - aged between 12-14 on Jan 1st 2023)

6.30pm-7.30pm (Under 12 - aged 11 or younger on Jan 1st 2023)

Under 18s starting after Christmas depending on level of interest

Cost - €15 for 5 classes up to Christmas.

You must also become a CCÉ member for insurance cover.
