To conclude our weekly Junior Dancing Classes with Martina French until next Autumn, we held our annual night of competitions last Wednesday where the children and teenagers attending our Junior Dancing classes competed in competitions in waltzing, brush dancing, two-hand and four-hand céilí dancing. Our dancers are now busy preparing for the County Fleadh Dancing competitions in Dunmanway on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4th.

Thanks to all our branch members who performed on our branch float in the Skibbereen St Patricks Day parade yesterday in Skibbereen. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh!

Our March Youth Session will be held on next Wednesday, March 4th in the GAA Pavilion from 7.30pm-8.30pm. All Junior musicians are welcome. As these sessions are only held during the Winter months, this will be our final Youth Session until next Autumn. Therefore, we hope there will be a great turn-out for the last Youth Session of the season.

Our weekly Junior Céilí dancing/Set Dancing classes tutored by Martina French will re-commence on next Wednesday, Jan 14th from 6.30pm-7.30pm in the GAA Pavillion. Children aged over 7 years of age are welcome to come along try this fun, social class and learn some simple céilí dances such as Siege of Ennis, Shoe the Donkey, Military Two-Step and Old Time Waltzing

Our junior musicians enjoyed a great night of music at our recent January Youth Session playing lots of tunes together around the fireside. Our February junior session will be on Wednesday, February 5th from 7.30pm-8.30pm in the GAA Pavillion. All young musicians most welcome to attend

A large gathering of our junior musicians attended our recent November Youth Session in the GAA Pavillion. A special thanks to our excellent teenage musicians who are always so helpful and willing to help lead the sessions. Our next session will be on Wednesday, December 3rd and all are welcome to come along and join in.
